Perminus Nyakundi was undergoing intensive chemotherapy while awaiting Bone Marrow Transplant,he was well and stable until 8days ago, when he developed difficulty in breathing and bleeding per oral,he was rushed to ICU and managed to pull through in four days.he was moved back into the wards but remained weak.
A CT scan of the chest done on Tuesday late in the evening showed a clean bill of the lungs,the heart was slightly enlarged though.
Yesterday at 11.00 am (E.AT) he started bleeding per oral again,and mouth,the platelets (type of blood cells that controls bleeding) were very low.he was rushed back to ICU and about 3units of platelets transfused. He had also inspirated large amount of blood,This was critical though but the doctors kept doing their best.
At 13:46 (EAT) he got three episodes of Cardiac arrest,he was too week to fight for his life anymore.His journey ended.
The Late PERMINUS NYAKUNDI hailed FROM NYAMIRA COUNTY,KITUTU MASABA CONSTITUENCY,KEMERA WARD SAT FOR HIS K.C.S.E IN 2013 AT NYAMBARIA HIGH SCHOOL AND SCORED A STRAIGHT A OF 81 POINTS.
