Robert Nyabwari famous for his gospel hit “Chintakana” wins Torchlight Awards 2014

Robert Nyabwari aka Roba a kenyan Minnesota based gospel Artist  has won the Torch Awards for the year 2014.


Robert Nyabwari has been a singer since 2009 but was fully introduced to Music in 2011 performing at churches around the states.He has one Album “upendo” which has done great and which got nominated for Torch light awards 2014.”

The Torch light awards recognizes talents from The continent of Africa and Upendo won the best gospel in the best male gospel artist category on the eve of 31st May 2014. Speaking during a comprehensive interview with AGR FM US based aka  ABAGUSII GLOBAL RADIO, swahili series, Nyabwari reveals that  his mission is to empower and utilize talents among young people to reach their dreams.

Torch light awards is a group of individuals from Africa who have been resident in the diaspora for a long time. Some of them have had children and grand children here and while they would love to tell us all about themselves, they would like to keep everything all about this award.
